Teaching the Assailant a Lesson

As any expert will tell you, the purpose of self-defense is never to inflict great harm to another person. Rather, the idea is to surprise, stun and perhaps temporarily immobilize an attacker, allowing the victim to escape from the altercation unscathed. The most effective self-defense tools share two main characteristics: they must be small enough to be concealable and reliable enough to work every single time.

Telescopic steel batons boast both of those characteristics in spades. Some people are wary of relying on electronics during a time of urgent need. While stun guns seldom malfunction, there’s no way you can go wrong with a steel wand. Bludgeoning an assailant repeatedly with these metal sticks can teach the perpetrator a lesson even as he is rendered powerless to attack.
