Walking alone at night can be very dangerous.  You never know when an attacker by be lurking somewhere.  One way to deter a possible attack is to have a personal alarm with you.  These personal alarms are small and compact so you can easily put them in your pocket.

There are different personal alarms that you can buy out there.  The alarms are very loud at 130db.  Most of them come with a flashlight as well.  Some have wrist straps that are connected to a pin, which activates the alarm when pulled.  Some are key chains making them handier to use.  These devices are great for everybody including children.
